Connect, Serve, and Grow for 10.14.19

No Youth or Children’s Ministry Events this Wednesday.

Connect, Serve, and Grow with us at Tahlequah United Methodist Church a United Methodist Community who strives to be a Church of Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors as we make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Sunday, Oct. 13th was Consercation Sunday.

We had the opportunity to consecrate our personal commitments for the coming year. You should have received an Estimate of Giving Commitment Card in the mail. If you did not receive one, or if you forgot to bring it with you today, additional cards are available next to the red shoes in the entryway or you can go online at www.tahlequahumc.org/give and fill it out online.

We invite you to prayerfully consider what your offering to God through our church will be in the coming year. Then fill out a card and bring it forward at the conclusion of the worship service.

We are grateful for your financial support of our church. Your giving in the coming year will make a difference in the lives of children, youth, and adults in our church, as well as in the lives of people everywhere we are in mission and ministry in the world.

If you have questions on how you can give please contact Pastor Matt at (918)456-6141 email: matt.franks@tahlequahumc.org

Pastor Appreciation Month

October is a significant month for United Methodist pastors and the SPRC committee would like to honor both Matt and Shana and their families for their tireless work and devotion to our church. This month was created in 1992 to honor those who served in ministry.

1 Timothy, 5:17 reads: “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching”. We will present our gifts of thanks to them on Sunday, October 27 at morning worship.

There are several ways in which you can participate in this celebration. You can donate by placing your gift into the offering plate or by giving your donation to SPRC Chair Sueann Freeman. Monetary gifts should be earmarked “Pastor Appreciation Sunday” either on a check or cash and put in one of the offering envelopes found in the pews or turned in to the church office.

You can also write a special note or card of thanks to each pastor and their families. All gifts and cards should be received no later than Wednesday, October 23
