Penguin Project June 1 & 2nd
The Tahlequah Community Playhouse’s Penguin Project cast and crew send a huge thank you to the FUMC family for providing space for their rehearsals for Peter Pan, Jr.! This is the second year that some of our church classrooms were filled with acting, singing, and dancing Penguins on select weekday evenings.
The Penguin Project provides an opportunity for children and youth with special needs to participate in the performing arts. Artists with special needs are linked with a peer mentor who provides individual assistance as needed. The peer mentors work side-by-side with their artist partners, assisting them throughout the entire rehearsal process and on stage during performances. Several members of the FUMC family are involved in this production including Katy June, Judy Young, Kyron Tobey, and Brian, Adam, and Peggy Kaney. The performances will be held on June 1 & June 2, 7:00 p.m. at the Tahlequah High School PAC. Admission is free, and donations are accepted.
For more information, please contact Peggy Kaney at 918-931-2446 or pkaney@gmail.com. We hope that you can see the amazing cast present the production that you made possible!
