All: O Gracious God, who knows the deepest places of our hearts, forgive us when we forget we are fearfully and wonderfully made, when we pretend you are not at the end of all of our searching, when we give ourselves over to the “whatever” of our culture. Remind us that your knowledge of us is wondrous and not punitive, and that we are defenseless against your love. Continue to seek us out even as we seek your face. Words of Assurance Liturgist Liturgist: Know that God always goes with us. Know that God is always there to lead us, guide us, forgive us, comfort us and encourage us. Know that God is always near to us, now and forever. Amen Today we pray for…. Rev. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. We have received—or demanded—blessings to which we were not entitled and squandered them in self-indulgent living. We have also looked out from our place of superiority and favor and have been indignant over your lavish dispensing of love and mercy. As we bring our gifts this day, we do so in the humble gratitude and recognition that any and all blessings in our life come as your gift of grace. We pray in the name of your greatest gift, Jesus our redeemer. Amen.

Would You Like to Help

Camp Egan on April 9?

Sign Up by April 2.

We’re planning a church workday at Egan Camp and Retreat Center on Saturday, April 9th. We’ll leave the church at 8:00 am in convoy for those who don’t know how to get there. (We’ll take our cars so that folks can leave when they need to.) If anyone needs to arrive later, that’s not a problem.

If the weather’s nice, we’ll do some work on flowerbeds, rake walnuts and leaves, power wash the swimming pool, paint and number the disc golf “holes” or paint/stain the Founder’s House deck.

If the weather’s rainy or cold, we’ll paint inside the buildings, mount TV’s and sound system in the Tabernacle, and scrape and paint the A/C ducts in the dining hall.

These are a few of the tasks that need to be done. The tasks vary with whoever volunteers and whatever you/we feel comfortable doing and can be done with the time we have available. We won’t get it all done, but we’ll put a big dent in the list!

Lunch will be served at camp. A sign-up sheet is out in the Narthex. Let us know what you like doing, and we’ll try to match you with the right task.

Blessings,

George Warren,

FUMC Missions Coordinator and

Member of Egan Site Development Committee
