UMW Service Project Monday Night April 9 at 6 p.m.

From our UMW.

Yea, I bought a new pair of scissors today for our work night Monday evening(April 9) at 6 p.m. in the upstairs quilting room. I have a sad history of scissors getting used to cut paper and such. When the kids were at home, I asked for some good scissors for Christmas so I could have some just for sewing. When I opened the package, they had bought left handed scissors which were not too useful for a right handed person. Now I finally have a good pair!

Our project for tomorrow night is to start cutting material from patterns that Peggy Williams has made for our daysforgirls project. We will be making 50 kits with sanitary pads that are reusable for girls who are missing school because of their menstrual periods. We will be cutting material tomorrow night. Peggy has made an example of what we will be making, so it will begin making sense to all of us. Please bring your scissors to the quilting room to help.

We will also be needing girls underwear and zip lock baggies. You can check this attachment from Peggy to see what all we will need.

Here is the attachment.
