+Hymn: Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee UMH 89
1. Joyful, joyful, we adore thee, God of glory, Lord of love; hearts unfold like flowers before thee, opening to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; drive the dark of doubt away. Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day!
2. All thy works with joy surround thee, earth and heaven reflect thy rays, stars and angels sing around thee,
center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea, chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in thee.
3. Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest, well-spring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our brother, all who live in love are thine; teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.
4. Mortals, join the mighty chorus which the morning stars began; love divine is reigning o'er us, binding all within its span.
Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife; joyful music leads us sunward, in the triumph song of life.

Prayer of Confession and Pardon Liturgist
All: Divine Provider, we confess that we sometimes doubt your provision for us. When we start scraping the bottom of the barrel, we cut back our sharing with others who have already run out and are hungry or in need. Forgive selfishness and independence that prevents interdependence and working together to solve distribution problems in the use of the resources of your good earth, through your compassionate Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Liturgist: Friends, hear the good news! Christ has entered into heaven. All: Christ now appears in the presence of God on our behalf. Liturgist: Friends, believe the good news! All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

The Lord’s Prayer Liturgist
ALL: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Amen.

Offertory Prayer Liturgist
All: Forgiving God, people give for so many reasons – guilt, joy, obligation, gratitude, obedience, hope, control, thankfulness. Remind us of your call to examine everything that we have; after all, our money and possessions are really gifts from you. You call us to use them wisely – to share them openly – to give them generously. So thank you for this celebration of giving. Receive this offering and release us from the foolish temptation to believe that it is best spent on ourselves. Amen.

Hymn of Response: Take My Life, And Let It Be UMH 399
1. Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee. Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of thy love. Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.
2. Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King. Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect, and use every power as thou shalt choose.
3. Take my will, and make it thine; it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart, it is thine own; it shall be thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at thy feet its treasure-store. Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for thee.
We are Sent out to love and to serve.

Invitation to Experience and Share Joy Rev. Shana Dry
This year we have committed to live to have hope for the future, to live in peace, to love unconditionally, and to know and share the joy of the Lord so that with God’s help we will transform the world. In this last quarter of the year, we will work towards experiencing and sharing joy. We share joy by simply smiling to our neighbors. And as we send you out this day: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in faith so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. God loves you and so do I
Closing Hymn: God Will Take Care of You UMH 130
Be not dismayed whate'er betide, God will take care of you; beneath his wings of love abide,
God will take care of you. God will take care of you, through every day, o'er all the way; he will take care of you, God will take care of you.
Thank you for joining us today in worship.
