This quarter of the year we are challenged to love unconditionally. 1 Corinthians 16:14 reads, “Everything should be done in love.” May everything you do radiate the love of Christ. As we worship may the God of hope, peace, love and joy fill this place. Come, Holy Spirit, Come. Call To Worship Liturgist Leader: God is waiting for us. All: With a tender heart and a searching question. Leader: God is ready for us All: With truth and wisdom from a deep well. Leader: God is blessing us All: With springs of living water. Leader: God is sending us All: To sing, pray and witness every day. Leader: God is here. All: Let the conversation begin. Hymn: We Are The Church UMH 558
1. I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together! All who follow Jesus, all around the world! Yes, we're the church together! The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, the church is a people. 2. I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together! All who follow Jesus, all around the world! Yes, we're the church together! We're many kinds of people, with many kinds of faces, all colors and all ages, too, from all times and places. 3. I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together! All who follow Jesus, all around the world! Yes, we're the church together! Sometimes the church is marching, sometimes it's bravely burning, sometimes it's riding, sometimes hiding, always it's learning. 4. I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together! All who follow Jesus, all around the world! Yes, we're the church together! And when the people gather, there's singing and there's praying, there's laughing and there's crying sometimes, all of it saying: 5. I am the church! You are the church! We are the church together! All who follow Jesus, all around the world! Yes, we're the church together! At Pentecost some people received the Holy Spirit and told the Good News through the world to all who would hear it.

Delaware, Tahlequah Ok 74464 · Online Giving at www.tahlequahumc.org/give · Through your Bank or Credit Union via Auto Check · Offertory Prayer Liturgist All: Awesome God, Jesus fed thousands of people with seemingly little effort. Yet, we have grave difficulty feeding children in our own country — let alone the entire world. Even while we are praying this prayer, someone has died from starvation and the lack of food. When we share resources with caregiving ministries, your hand is upon our shoulders, just like it was upon Jesus’ shoulders the day he fed his followers. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to change lives by becoming generous caregivers of the resources that you first gave to us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. Hymn: Christ, your Words of Love Confound Us
Tune: The Sacred Harp, 1844; attributed to Benjamin Franklin White ("God Whose Giving Knows No Ending")

During this hymn if you want to come forward and spend some time at the kneeling rails to pray you are more than welcome to do so. If you need the Pastors to pray with you, please let them know. If you want to join our Church family today, please come forward and let us know so we can receive you into membership.
Christ, your words of love confound us, even as we give you praise, for the lessons that you teach us seem so far from this world's ways. How can we love those who hate us? How can we love enemies? What of people who abuse us? How can we love even these? Make us mindful: love is action, not a feeling that uplifts. In each daily situation, love's the greatest of all gifts. It's the wiser, stronger person who will break the chain of hate. Love can usher in redemption; love can make a people great. Faced with those who seek to hurt us, make us confident and free: you don't call us to be helpless but to stand with dignity. Lord, when others are demanding, may we know they matter more than our money or possessions. May we share, not keeping score. If we love just those who love us, where's the giving? Where's the grace? Even sinners try to do this; they have friends that they embrace. May we do, Lord, unto others as we'd have them also do. You have shown us: Love is action. May we love and make things new.
