Invitation to Share Love Rev. Shana Dry In 2021 we will live to have hope for the future, to live in peace, to love unconditionally, and to know the joy of the Lord so that through God we will transform the world. This quarter of the year we are challenged to love unconditionally. 1 Corinthians 16:14 reads, “Everything should be done in love.” May everything you do radiate the love of Christ. As we worship may the God of hope, peace, love and joy fill this place. Come, Holy Spirit, Come. Call To Worship Liturgist Liturgist: Our hope is in God all of our lives. All: God is a rock of refuge: a fortress against threat and shame. Liturgist: God has held us since our birth. All: So we are never in the full grasp of the unjust and cruel. Liturgist: In love, God saves and supports us. All: Trusting in God, we continually offer our praise! The Gospel Reading: John 13:34-45 Liturgist +Hymn: As The Deer TFWS #2025

As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you. You alone are my heart's desire, and I long to worship you. You alone are my strenghth, my sheild; to you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart's desire, and I long to worship you. We Offer Our Prayers Together Prayer of Confession Liturgist God of life, we admit to you and to each other that we have not always lived lives of love. We have lost patience and been rude. We have been irritable and insisted on our own way. We have even let love end. Forgive us and heal us, dear God, through Jesus Christ, your love incarnate. Amen

Declaration of Forgiveness Liturgist Liturgist: Though we know only in part, we are full known to God. All: By the grace of Christ, God forgives us in love, and calls us to abide in faith, in hope, and in love.

Amen. Hymn: Great Is Thou Faithfulness UMH# 140 1. Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father; there is no shadow of turning with thee; thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be. Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! 2. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, sun, moon, and stars in their courses above join with all nature in manifold witness to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! 3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Hymn: Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me UMH 361 During this hymn, if you want to come forward and spend some time at the kneeling rails to pray you are more than welcome to do so. If you need the Pastors to pray with you, please let them know. If you want to join our Church family today, please come forward and let us know so we can receive you into membership. 1. Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee; let the water and the blood, from thy wounded side which flowed, be of sin the double cure; save from wrath and make me pure. 2. Not the labors of my hands can fulfill thy law's demands; could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow, all for sin could not atone; thou must save, and thou alone. 3. Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling; naked, come to thee for dress; helpless, look to thee for grace; foul, I to the fountain fly; wash me, Savior, or I die. 4. While I draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyes shall close in death, when I soar to worlds unknown, see thee on thy judgment throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.

Closing Hymn: When We All Get To Heaven UMH #701

1. Sing the wondrous love of Jesus; sing his mercy and his grace. In the mansions bright and blessed he'll prepare for us a place. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!

2. While we walk the pilgrim pathway, clouds will overspread the sky; but when traveling days are over, not a shadow, not a sigh. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!

3. Let us then be true and faithful, trusting, serving every day; just one glimpse of him in glory will the toils of life repay. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!

4. Onward to the prize before us! Soon his beauty we'll behold; soon the pearly gates will open; we shall tread the streets of gold. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!

Thank you for joining us today in worship.
